Pediatric Dental Treatment Coordinator

West Valley Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assisting our pediatric providers in providing exceptional care to our pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients, utilizing medical scheduling systems with Dentrix.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, providing accurate and helpful information.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Knowledge of dental office procedures and terminology is preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulation.
- Present Recommended Dental Procedures along with estimated patient/parent portions.
- Follow-up with unscheduled treatment plans.
- Submit Prior authorizations to insurance carriers.
- Knowledge of AHCCCS is preferred.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Monitor and track patient progress.
- Assist with scheduling and appointment coordination.
- Help maintain a welcoming and child-friendly atmosphere in the office.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
- Prior experience working in a pediatric dental or orthodontic practice is preferred.
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, especially with children and adolescents.
- Empathetic and compassionate nature.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and sterile environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
