Substance Abuse Disorder Treatment Specialist

Gateway Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Engagement Specialist to join our team. As an Engagement Specialist, you will play a critical role in engaging potential clients, explaining our programs, treatment options, and requirements, and completing intake screenings.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate the appropriateness of available treatment options to ensure proper placement.
- Complete assessments of needs or required services, and identify and counsel clients on the most suitable treatment options in consideration of needs, available resources, and payment options.
- Promote Gateway programs to hospitals personnel and develop appropriate contacts to enhance opportunities for future referrals.
- Maintain regular communication with referral sources to plan and coordinate treatments and services, relay information on case progress, respond to questions or concerns on program services or options.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, counseling, psychology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of one year of related experience working in a substance abuse disorder treatment environment.
- Certification as an alcohol, drug, or substance abuse counselor within the specified guidelines as required by the agency or association in the state of employment location.
