Position Summary
This role acts as a key representative for the organization in diverse patient settings, serving as a vital link and executing crucial pre-analytical functions such as specimen acquisition, phlebotomy, specimen management, and order processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs prompt and precise specimen acquisition, management, and handling
- Follows all departmental and organizational guidelines, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Aids in meeting departmental and organizational goals
- Exhibits independent problem-solving capabilities and collaborative skills
- Maintains effective communication and interpersonal relationships with laboratory personnel and external partners
- Ensures professional and ethical service for both internal and external clients
- Available to work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends, and travel between various company locations as needed
Essential Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Licenses/Certifications: Preferred certification as a PBT/MLA through ASCP, AMT, or NHA
- Experience: Completion of technical training as a Phlebotomist from an accredited phlebotomy program
