About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Inpatient Palliative Care Department at Emory University Hospital. This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to individuals with complex medical needs, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including interviews and physical examinations, to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests and imaging studies, to inform patient care decisions.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as needed, working within established guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current licensure as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia, with certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • At least one year of direct experience in a high-acuity clinical setting, preferably in palliative care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Healthcare Provider certifications required, with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
