Seeking a Palliative Care Physician in the Atlanta Suburbs

A leading healthcare organization in the suburban area of Atlanta, GA is in search of a qualified or board-certified Palliative Care Medicine physician. The organization aims to enhance its current palliative care offerings by providing both inpatient and limited outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with an established and supportive inpatient palliative care team, which includes one physician, a dedicated full-time LPN, and a licensed social worker, to develop an outpatient program that will expand the Palliative Care services available.
  • Take on a leadership role in designing and implementing an outpatient palliative care clinic, which will eventually include a Home-Based Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Preferred candidates will have experience in Palliative Medicine within an acute care hospital environment, along with program management experience.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Care through the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
  • Board certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or General Surgery.
  • Completion of an accredited Palliative Medicine Fellowship.
  • Possession of a current GA Medical License or the ability to obtain one.

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday (5 days, 40 hours per week).
