  • Confirm warranty and service contract eligibility by evaluating documentation and explaining coverage details.
  • Prepare detailed service estimates by calculating costs for parts, labor, and any applicable deductibles.
  • Create repair orders by documenting customer concerns, necessary repairs, and securing customer approvals.
  • Maintain customer relationships by clearly communicating service estimates, expected timelines, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Keep accurate automotive records by documenting issues and proposed solutions.
  • Enhance personal knowledge by participating in training sessions and reviewing manufacturer publications.
  • Contribute to the company’s reputation by proactively addressing new challenges and seeking opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Service Consultant is essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to interpret business reports effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional interactions.
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary; relevant experience or training is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
  • Familiarity with DealerTrack and X-time systems is preferred.
  • Experience with Ford vehicles is advantageous.
