Job Description

Job Title: Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary:

Vinfen is seeking a Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) to join our team. As a Per Diem L.P.N., you will participate in the comprehensive assessment of physical health of the people we serve on a per diem basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care and administer medication under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP) guidelines
  • Assist individuals to become more a part of their communities
  • Employ rehabilitation values, principles, and techniques, including skills training, to help individuals served overcome barriers and live more independently
  • Communicate any change in status to appropriate individuals and perform individual assessments with any change of status
  • Provide skilled nursing interventions as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required
  • Current L.P.N. license valid in Massachusetts
  • Experience working with people with brain injury strongly preferred
  • Strong time management and writing skills
  • Ability to become CPR certified within 2 weeks of employment and Safety Care certified within 90 days of employment
  • Must be able to successfully pass a CORI, reference, and national fingerprinting background check
