Position Summary

This administrative-based internship will focus on various tasks, including research, report-making, training, and program management. Interns will be matched with a qualified site supervisor or program manager and supported by Youth Guidance's Internship coordinator.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Participate in program staff development and required training.
  • Participate in YG committees (may be either required or by choice, depending on department and internship assignment).
  • Project management and execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree.
  • Currently seeking school credit through an internship.
Skills/Abilities
  • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of collaborating in team settings and working independently.
  • Demonstrates cultural competency, including an understanding of the effects of institutional racism and systemic oppression on marginalized populations.
  • Demonstrates creativity in engaging youth.
  • Exhibits a positive team-based approach to treatment and care working with clients.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English highly preferred.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment, school setting, and working with the public. All Youth Guidance employees must be fully vaccinated or approved for a medical or religious exemption. Occasional local and national travel may be required.
