Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic direction for AbbVie's Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives.
- Provide leadership and oversight for the AbbVie Biologics Campus' EHS programs and initiatives in Worcester, MA.
- Establish and maintain systems to achieve identified strategies, prevent catastrophic events, and minimize injuries/illnesses.
- Monitor performance and compliance with internal and regulatory EHS programs.
- Develop and implement EHS metrics and tracking systems, and report metrics to senior management and regulatory agencies as required.
- Manage the site's EHS standard processes, including developing, maintaining, and implementing internal standards across the campus.
- Manage the site's EHS Auditing process to assess compliance with internal company standards and regulatory compliance.
- Provide oversight for Occupational Health programs, including developing and maintaining company standards on medical surveillances, health and wellness programs, and occupational exposure limits.
- Develop EHS IT strategies and provide oversight in developing and maintaining IT systems, including Action Management, EHS Training Systems, and Envision.
- Manage and provide oversight for Safety programs and initiatives, including emergency preparedness, industrial hygiene, and hazardous communication.
- Manage and provide oversight for Environmental programs and initiatives, including due diligence for acquisitions/divestitures, site remediation programs, and internal/external environmental partnerships.
- Manage the EHS training process, including content development, training program logistics, and managing training systems.
- Manage departmental and capital projects budgets and develop direct EHS staff.
