The Position:
We are seeking a full-time Civil Litigation Defense Attorney to join our talented legal team. This role offers a hybrid work model. You will be integral to our civil litigation defense efforts, managing various aspects of staff and case management and client representation: drafting and filing motions, preparing for and attending court trials, conducting depositions, providing legal counsel to our clients and managing and strategizing our associates, paralegals and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategize with, advise and manage associates, paralegals and staff.
- Prepare and file motions, pleadings and discovery.
- Represent clients in trial, arbitrations, depositions and mediations.
- Update clients and/or their insurers.
- Provide expert legal advice to clients.
- Manage day-to-day litigation tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- In-depth understanding of civil litigation procedures.
- Proven track record of drafting motions.
- Ability to effectively navigate the court system.
- Experience in trial preparation and courtroom representation.
- Skilled in conducting depositions and witness examinations.
- Superior written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Active member of the Arizona State Bar.
- Prior Litigation Partner experience in construction or casualty claims.
