Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dietary Associate III to join our team at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diet office tasks, including the transfer of information concerning patient diets, meal selections, preferences, and complaints.

Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Nutrition, perform diet office tasks related to patient diets, meal selections, preferences, and complaints.
  • Comply with standards established by the hospital, regulatory agencies, and JCAHO.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Able to follow written directions and record information using high school level literacy skills.
  • Visual and auditory acuity required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Able to engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and climbing.
  • Able to work outdoors in extremes of heat and cold.
  • Food Service experience preferred.
  • Some computer knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and interface with Nursing staff, patients, and employees.
  • Must have an understanding of weights and measures.
  • Must be able to relay/follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Visual and manual dexterity required.
