Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Radiology Technologist to work in our Interventional Radiology Lab at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. The successful candidate will participate in a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including neuro and vascular cases.
Responsibilities- Assist interventional radiologists during procedures, utilizing sterile techniques and advanced knowledge of imaging modalities.
- Effectively troubleshoot equipment and place service calls to Biomedical as needed.
- Anticipate procedure flow and work with other team members to produce high-quality care.
- Provide a safe environment and identify hazards immediately, following unit protocols to take corrective actions as needed.
- Demonstrate proficiency in imaging modalities, including digital, laser printing, and cut film.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
- Certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) and American Registered Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiovascular (CV) or Cardiovascular Interventional (CI)
- Licensure - Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Radiologic Technologist is required only if the position is located in a free-standing center not affiliated with an Inova Health System Hospital.
- Experience - One year of work experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist.
- Education - Vocational/Technical in the area of study in Radiologic Technology; Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography; Associate or higher degree preferred.
