Interventional Radiology Technologist 2

The Inova Heart and Vascular Institute (IHVI) is seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist 2 to join our team. As a key member of our invasive cardiovascular labs, you will participate in a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including neuro and vascular cases.
Responsibilities- Effectively utilize Inova Health System's inventory management systems
- Assist RNs in explaining procedures to patients and families
- Troubleshoot equipment and place service calls to Biomedical as needed
- Anticipate procedure flow and work with other team members to produce high-quality care
- Provide a safe environment and identify hazards immediately
- Demonstrate proficiency in imaging modalities in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology
- Showcase advanced knowledge of sterile techniques while assisting and supporting interventional radiologists during procedures
- Certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) and American Registered Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiovascular (CV) or Cardiovascular Interventional (CI)
- Licensure - Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Radiologic Technologist (if position is located in a free-standing center not affiliated with an Inova Health System Hospital)
- Experience - One year of work experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Education - Vocational/Technical in the area of study in Radiologic Technology; Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography; Associate or higher degree preferred
