Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Falls Church, Virginia.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Radiology Technologist to work in our Interventional Radiology Lab at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting interventional radiologists during procedures, utilizing imaging modalities, and providing a safe environment for patients.
Responsibilities- Assist interventional radiologists during procedures, including neuro and vascular cases.
- Utilize imaging modalities, such as digital, laser printing, and cut film.
- Provide a safe environment for patients, identifying hazards and following unit protocols.
- Assist RNs in explaining procedures to patients and families.
- Troubleshoot equipment and place service calls to Biomedical when necessary.
- Anticipate procedure flow and work with other team members to produce high-quality care.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and American Registered Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiovascular (CV) or Cardiovascular Interventional (CI).
- Licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Radiologic Technologist, if the position is located in a free-standing center not affiliated with an Inova Health System Hospital.
- One year of work experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist.
- Vocational/Technical in the area of study in Radiologic Technology; Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography; Associate or higher degree preferred.
