Route Trainee Job Description

As a key member of our Service Department, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Route Service Representatives with loading and unloading trucks, delivering and picking up customer products, maintaining vehicle safety, and covering assigned routes when needed.

This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy a dynamic work environment and want to establish a career in Route Service. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and advance to a commissioned Route Service Representative position upon satisfactory performance reviews and tenure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Route Service Representatives with loading and unloading trucks, delivering and picking up customer products
  • Maintain vehicle safety and ensure accurate inventory management
  • Cover assigned routes when needed, driving a company vehicle to and from customer stops
  • Develop strong communication skills to effectively resolve customer issues
Requirements:
  • 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Meet pre-employment DOT physical requirements
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Basic computer proficiency
