Jail Control Room Specialist

Larimer County is seeking a detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Jail Control Room Specialist. This position is responsible for controlling access to and monitoring movement within the Larimer County Jail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor activities throughout the facility via cameras and intercoms
  • Control all entrance and exit points to the facility
  • Remotely operate security doors
  • Utilize communication systems to relay messages and ensure effective communication between personnel
  • Monitor fire alarms and deal with any alarms as necessary
  • Accurately document events
  • Brief oncoming staff on activities during previous shifts
  • Maintain security of work area
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Cannot have a felony conviction
  • No convictions involving domestic violence
  • No use of illegal drugs within the past five years
