Key Responsibilities- Emergency Medical Response: Respond to emergent and non-emergent requests for medical assistance, providing timely and effective care to patients in need.
- Patient Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer medical treatments, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with dispatchers, facility staff, and other responders to ensure seamless patient care and emergency response.
- Vehicle Operations and Maintenance: Safely operate company vehicles, perform routine maintenance checks, and ensure that equipment and supplies are in good working order.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patient information, treatment rendered, and other relevant details, as required by company policy.
- Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent, and current EMT-B certification in the state of North Carolina and National Registry EMT-B certification.
- Experience and Skills: 1 year of EMT experience, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment, and to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate to extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Work Schedule: Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with extended workdays and periods of overtime.
- Work Environment: May work indoors or outdoors, with exposure to weather, and may be required to work in poorly lit environments in a moving vehicle.
