Emergency Medical Technician

Reliance Medical Transport is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. As an EMT, you will respond to emergent and non-emergent medical requests, providing high-quality patient care and treatment in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Follow established medical treatment protocols and response procedures to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of evolving medical treatment protocols and response requirements.
- Operate Company vehicles in accordance with Risk & Safety policies and traffic laws.
- Perform beginning of shift checks to ensure the ambulance is in a state of mechanical readiness.
- Complete all required documentation as outlined in Company policy.
- Attend all mandatory training and in-service events.
- Foster and maintain cooperative working relationships with peers, facility staff, and public safety personnel.
- State of North Carolina EMT-B and National Registry EMT-B Certification.
- CPR Certification.
- Valid Driver's License.
- 1 year of EMT experience (Preferred).
- EVOC (Preferred).
Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, extended workdays. Long periods inside the ambulance. May work indoors or outdoors with exposure to weather. Possible routine exposure to moderate noise levels. May periodically work in poorly lit environments in a moving vehicle.
Physical DemandsModerate to extended amounts of sitting, standing, and walking. Some repetitive motion activities. Routinely lifting more than 250 lbs. with assistance. Pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, carrying, typing, and stair climbing. Visual identification of color-coded items. Clear speech and hearing. Must be able to wear a face mask or respirator with proper fit for extended periods when required.
