Environmental Partnership Specialist

As an Environmental Partnership Specialist with Tellus Civic Science Corporation, you will play a critical role in providing technical assistance to grant recipients in the Pacific Islands region. Your primary focus will be on climate adaptation and resilience efforts, working closely with OCM's regional staff and a network of fellows.
To succeed in this position, you will need a strong understanding of local geography, culture, and coastal issues relevant to the region, as well as experience working with various state, local, and community partners. Strong cultural competency, including experience supporting native Hawaiian communities, is essential for this role.
You will engage regularly with Resilience Challenge partners and communities in the region, both in person and virtually, designing and facilitating collaborative meetings for meaningful engagement and peer-to-peer sharing using co-development best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Becoming familiar with community resilience efforts in the region
- Assisting with assessing partners' needs, including training, data, tools, and technical expertise
- Engaging regularly with Resilience Challenge partners and communities in the region, both in person and virtually
- Designing and facilitating collaborative meetings for meaningful engagement and peer-to-peer sharing using co-development best practices
The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
Requirements- Masters and 2 years of experience OR Bachelors and 6 years of related experience
- Strong cultural competency, including experience supporting native Hawaiian communities
- Strong organizational and communication skills, especially the ability to adapt to the preferred communication style of a particular community
- Experience working in Hawaii and with various state, local, and community partners
- Experience in climate adaptation and resilience
- Ability to problem-solve and self-start in a small team environment
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and guidance documentation
- Ability to pass a National Agency Check (NACI) and obtain NOAA CAC
