Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician - Class B to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a Diesel Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Identify and repair basic failures and conditions, and complete thorough documentation of work orders through our online Enterprise Asset Management system.
  • Install, replace, and repair onboard computers, and inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, and other critical components.
  • Train and provide guidance to other Mechanics as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 3-5 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience, including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration experience.
