Job Title: Diesel Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of diesel engines and vehicles, performing diagnostic tests to identify issues and troubleshoot problems, replacing faulty parts and components, and conducting routine maintenance on equipment. You will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities and adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain diesel engines and vehicles
  • Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues and troubleshoot problems
  • Replace faulty parts and components
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment
  • Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
