Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year

The Senior Property Appraiser will play a crucial role in our team by performing complex commercial or residential appraisals. This position involves measuring and listing large properties, defending ad valorem values before the Board and in some cases to the NC Property Tax Commission, establishing property grades and characteristics, and assisting with cost, market, and income studies. The successful candidate will also assist in training and guiding staff members.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough appraisals of commercial and residential properties.
  • Measure and list large properties, including multi-family and complex residential properties.
  • Defend ad valorem values before the Board and in some cases to the NC Property Tax Commission.
  • Establish property grades and characteristics for revaluation purposes.
  • Assist with cost, market, and income studies for revaluation.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff members.
