About the Role

Cortica is seeking a highly motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow to join its dynamic team.


Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Fellow, you will work under the guidance of an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist to develop a strong foundation in practice as part of an interdisciplinary team. Your primary duties will include:



  • Establishing speech and language treatment goals through dynamic and standardized assessment tools.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary team members to create treatment plans and integrative strategies.
  • Providing individual therapy sessions, as well as group and/or co-treats with other disciplines as therapeutically appropriate.
  • Maintaining patient records, documentation, and billing in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy.
  • Developing receptive and expressive language skills through play-based and goal-based interventions, taking into account individual sensory processing, regulation, and motor differences.

Successful candidates will possess excellent clinical skills, a passion for working with children, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.


Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:



  • Completed a master's degree.
  • Held a Speech-Language Pathology Required Professional Experience (RPE) temporary license in the state of California.
  • Excellent clinical skills and a strong foundation in speech-language pathology.
  • A desire to work in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to learn.
  • An appreciation for a wide range of therapeutic approaches.
  • Proficiency in software and systems, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.
