Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Fund Accounting team as a summer intern. As a fund administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our clients' financial data.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing cash and journal entries, as well as bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with financial statement preparation and period-end closings
  • Interacting with clients through email and phone calls
  • Participating in quarterly and annual audit functions
  • Processing and tracking daily cash contributions and distributions for investment fund clients
  • Participating in Alter Domus' intern programming, including professional development, career progression, and presentation
  • Attending in-person and virtual networking events

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a strong accounting focus
  • Strong interest in fund accounting as a career
  • Current junior with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, learning, and collaboration
  • Customer-centric mindset
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work responsibly in a hybrid environment
  • Authorized to work in the US with no need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future
