Job Title: Patient Care Assistant- Family Birth Center Specialist

About the Job:

This role involves providing patient care services and clerical support under the guidance of licensed healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will assist with tasks related to hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, safety, and supply management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care support including services relative to hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, elimination, and safety as directed by licensed nurses.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, and perform ordering duties as needed.
  • Respond promptly to patient needs and provide excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrate unit-defined competencies and adapt to changing situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including entering charges on the computer and performing other clerical tasks.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Nurse Assistant in Texas or equivalent is required.
  • Recent hospital experience is preferred but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • A positive attitude, flexibility, and reliability are key qualities for success in this role.

Salary Range: $45,000-$60,000 per year, based on experience.
