Job Summary:

The Data Operations Specialist will be responsible for designing and operating Enterprise Information Management's Data Operations. This individual will coordinate technical resources throughout the lifecycle of information investigation and data management. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining runbooks, team-managed products, and assisting in delivery activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years' experience in large-scale system implementation efforts
  • At least 2 years of experience with Talend
  • At least 5 years' experience in ETL Development / Data Integration
  • Solid understanding of relational database concepts and data processing concepts
  • Experience with software development lifecycle, including agile methodology
  • Hands-on experience with ANSI SQL, Java, and shell scripting
  • Familiar with XML and JSON
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, data modeling/mapping, and quality assurance frameworks
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to create systematic and manual data ingest monitoring and quality operations procedures
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to provide off-hours and weekend on-call support

Responsibilities:

  • Manage data ingest processes and ensure quality of inbound data
  • Investigate, resolve, communicate, and document job failures/errors
  • Recommend technical solutions to handle process failures
  • Perform new setups and setup updates for existing integrations
  • Assist with new implementation testing and troubleshooting
  • Work closely with business analysts, data analysts/scientists, development, and product owners to ensure data quality
  • Monitor scheduled jobs and improve reliability of ongoing processing
  • Act as a translator between business and technical communities
