Data Operations Specialist

IT Associates is seeking a highly skilled Data Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data operations team, you will be responsible for designing and operating Enterprise Information Management's Data Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate technical resources throughout the lifecycle of information investigation and data management.
  • Creation and maintenance of runbooks, team managed products, and assisting in delivery activities.
  • Investigate, resolve, communicate, and document job failures/errors.
  • Recommend technical solutions to handle process failures.
  • Perform new setups and setup updates for existing integrations for customers and carriers.
  • Assist with new implementation testing and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Data Analysts/Scientists, Development, and Product Owners to ensure data housed in multiple source systems is coming in on timely basis, is valid and accurate.
  • Monitor scheduled jobs and improve reliability of ongoing processing.
  • Act as translator between business and technical community interpreting data domain needs and translating them into more technical quality assessment rules for developers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years' experience in large scale system implementation efforts following a standard software development lifecycle approach.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Talend is a must.
  • At least 5 years' experience in ETL Development / Data Integration.
  • Solid understanding of Relational database concepts and data processing concepts.
  • Experience with Software development lifecycle including agile methodology.
  • Hands-on experience with ANSI SQL, Java, and shell scripting.
  • Familiar with XML, JSON.
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, data modeling/mapping, and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to create systematic and manual data ingest monitoring and quality operations procedures in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to provide off hours and weekend on-call support.
