Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager to join our team at Evergreen North America. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA, and State DEQ regulations.
  • Conduct regular job safety observations and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Investigate and resolve safety incidents and near misses in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry best practices to ensure our safety programs remain effective and compliant.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in the industrial cleaning, chemical, refining, paper, or power industry.
  • Basic understanding of Federal, State, and Local OSHA and DOT rules and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred.
