We're building a top-notch door-to-door sales team to drive Ting's growth. As an Outside Sales Expert, you'll be a Ting ambassador, actively impacting the communities we serve. Your goal will be to expand our reach by prospecting new customers in your assigned territory, getting them activated and connected to fast, reliable high-speed fiber internet, along with exceptional customer support.

This role involves travel within Fuquay-Varina and surrounding neighborhoods. You'll spend 100% of your time out in the field, using the door-to-door method to sell and obtain orders or contracts for Tucows/Ting products and services.

Sales Expectations:

  • You'll work 37.5 hours per week in your assigned territory.
  • Anticipated shift schedules are 10 am-6 pm or 11 am-7 pm (including one-hour lunch breaks). Shift schedules may vary based on assigned territory.
  • You'll have valuable face-to-face conversations and educate community members about Ting products and services.
  • You'll present and take orders for the fastest and most reliable fiber internet service to residents.
  • You'll model best practices in the sales process and represent the Ting brand effectively.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in door-to-door sales or transferable sales experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong interpersonal and customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated and passionate about sales, with a desire to control your own income.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, treating people with dignity and respect in alignment with Ting's operating principles.
  • Comfortable using a company-issued iPad and applications to manage and document daily activities.
  • Must have access to reliable, independent transportation due to the nature of this outside sales position.
  • Must be able to perform tasks that require standing and walking for extended periods during the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation.
