Job Title: Director of Memory Care

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Memory Care to lead our Memory Care department at The Sheridan at Eastside. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Memory Care program, promoting a culture of excellence, and ensuring the highest level of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement programs and services that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents with Alzheimer's and dementia.
  • Lead a team of Memory Care staff in providing person-centered care, coaching, and training to ensure the highest level of resident satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Health and Wellness Director to ensure seamless integration of Memory Care services with other departments.
  • Develop and manage the Memory Care budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance with company policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure our Memory Care program remains innovative and compliant.
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Recreation Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience working with individuals with dementia, including leading programs, handling complex behavioral issues, and educating staff and families on Alzheimer's and dementia-related topics.
  • Special certifications, such as Activities Director Certification, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, or Certified Dementia Practitioner, are preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
