Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Building Engineer, your primary duties will include:
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the building's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Enhancing the efficiency of HVAC and plumbing operations
  • Implementing best practices for troubleshooting and repairs
  • Providing mentorship and training to junior engineering staff
  • Promoting energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Documenting all relevant data in maintenance logs
  • Handling administrative tasks in line with departmental guidelines
  • Ensuring the safety and upkeep of engineering tools and equipment
  • Maintaining organized and clean workspaces
  • Completing assigned work orders promptly and professionally
  • Collaborating with contractors for project bids and proposals
  • Maintaining open communication with management and team members
  • Addressing safety concerns immediately
  • Delivering exceptional service to residents and guests

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience, with industry certifications
  • Boiler certification
  • Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to perform various maintenance tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documents and blueprints
  • Safe operation of hand and power tools
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Knowledge of safety practices and hazard recognition
  • Effective communication skills in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus
