We are seeking a skilled and proactive Building Engineer to join our dynamic maintenance team in Seattle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the property's physical condition and safeguarding it against damage, loss, and deterioration.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular assessments of building systems to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance measures.
- Perform minor repairs, respond to service requests, and manage work order requests related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
- Proactively maintain an ongoing task list for the property management team and serve as the primary contact for vendors.
- Assist with fire panel and extinguisher inspections, ensure a safe job site, and adhere to company, OSHA, and client-specific safety standards.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred 3-5 years of experience in commercial building operations and engineering.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and make independent decisions.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with smartphones.
- Current and valid driver's license.
- Lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, and work within tight spaces.
