Position Overview:

BASIS Independent Schools is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Mathematics and Economics Educator to deliver exceptional instruction in Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1. Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement engaging, subject-specific lesson plans that challenge students and promote higher-level thinking.
2. Deliver instruction that exceeds grade-level standards, utilizing an interactive and dynamic teaching approach.
3. Design creative assessments aligned with the BASIS Curriculum to ensure students achieve internationally competitive educational outcomes.
4. Collaborate with fellow educators to cultivate a community of passionate professionals dedicated to educational excellence.
5. Provide individualized tutoring to enhance students' academic skills and career readiness.
6. Manage classroom behavior to support personal responsibility, intellectual growth, and individuality among all students.

Essential Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

- A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- Candidates must be able to obtain a fingerprint clearance card.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) in the subject area are preferred.
- A high GPA in the major and excellent recommendations are advantageous.
- Experience working with children in various capacities is beneficial.
