Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Unit Supervisor to lead our Med Surg team in Fairfax, Virginia.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned RN with leadership experience to oversee the daily operations of our Med Surg unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and guide a team of nurses to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the Med Surg team
  • Develop and implement unit policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
Requirements:
  • One year of nursing experience as a Registered Nurse in the OR or PACU or Critical Care (ICU/ED)
  • Leadership/supervisory experience is highly desired
  • Degree from an accredited school of nursing, BSN, or ADN within one year of BSN completion
  • RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required from AHA
  • Specialty certification (as required by unit) within one year from date of hire
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
