Information Systems Specialist

Join the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as an Information Systems Specialist and contribute to the development and implementation of technology solutions that support the organization's mission.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support and training to staff and managers on the effective use of existing applications.
- Monitor and recommend efficient methods for staff to use assigned automated IT solutions.
- Develop detailed specifications and procedures to incorporate automated systems into operations.
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Advise management on major aspects of system design, including system interrelationships and operating modes.
- Develop and present data-driven interpretations, models, and dashboards to improve business line decisions.
- Integrate data from various systems, cloud solutions, and datasets to provide meaningful information and identify trends.
- Conduct analysis of policy, organization, internal controls, productivity, cost/benefit, work methods, and procedures.
- Maintain awareness of different programming languages and collaborate with other functional and IT units to produce business and IT outcomes.
- Registration with the Selective Service.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.

- Completion of Financial Disclosure may be required.
- Background Investigation (BI) required.
- Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector.
- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs.
- Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills.
- To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 12 level or above in the Federal service.
- Specialized experience is experience in providing IT customer service and support, conducting maintenance, operations, and user support for enterprise software applications.
