Position Summary:

The main objective of the Product Sales Consultant is to enhance sales of sophisticated machine tools while delivering innovative engineering solutions tailored to meet customer requirements in precision machinery. This position involves reporting to the Managing Director concerning the acquisition of new clients and the maintenance of relationships with existing customers.

Key Responsibilities:

To succeed in this role, the individual must competently execute each essential duty. The qualifications outlined below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.   • Establishing and cultivating customer relationships while identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.
  • Promoting machine tool products and providing technical sales support.
  • Collaborating with Area Sales Managers and Application Teams to assess customer needs.
  • Achieving projected sales targets for assigned technologies.
  • Maintaining regular communication with overseas manufacturing facilities to discuss technical specifications and development suggestions.
  • Visiting client locations to ensure the proposed technical solutions are suitable.
  • Participating in international visits to OEM factories.
  • Assisting Engineering teams with product demonstrations.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Certification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the machine tool sector is essential.
  • Strong expertise in sales and technical fields, with a proven track record of acquiring new business, retaining accounts, and fostering growth.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with precision machinery and control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, and Mitsubishi.
  • Excellent skills in writing, reporting, documentation, presentations, and communication.
  • Demonstrated success in interpersonal and organizational tasks.
  • Interaction with Senior Management and key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Strong engineering background.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of sales processes.
  • Extensive experience in using CAD/CAM software.
