Job Overview

Position Summary:

The role involves assembling and testing various sub-assemblies, including heat blankets and related accessories, following specific job orders, customer specifications, and managerial directives.

Key Responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Production Assembly: Execute electro-mechanical assembly of components to create sub-assemblies according to provided documentation and established shop procedures. This encompasses tasks such as cutting, measuring, and rolling materials; applying plugs and leads to silicone; wiring, inserting pins, soldering lead wires, and conducting equipment tests.

Documentation:

  • Ensure comprehensive and precise documentation, including work orders and time tracking.
  • Account for all materials utilized and time spent on tasks.
  • Confirm bills of materials to accurately reflect parts used or any configuration modifications.

Additional Duties:

  • Contribute insights for enhancing production processes.
  • Carry out facilities maintenance, upgrades, and new installations as instructed.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Engage in end-of-day and end-of-week work area clean-up activities.
  • Meet expected productivity and quality standards to ensure financial viability for the company, enabling continued excellent service to customers and career advancement opportunities for staff.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not entail supervisory duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Education and Experience: A minimum of three months of relevant assembly or sewing experience, and/or an assembly certificate, or a combination of training and experience. Familiarity with soldering techniques and the ability to read a ruler and schematics is essential.

Computer Skills:

Computer proficiency is not a requirement for this position.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and understand work instructions, brief correspondence, and memos. Capability to write simple instructions and effectively communicate information one-on-one with colleagues and management.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to apply basic arithmetic and algebra concepts to measure and cut materials accurately.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Capability to address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands:
