Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Water Remediation Technician to join our team at WorkSource Oregon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level services in water damage restoration, fire restoration, and mold remediation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage, and mold contamination.
  • Conduct site inspections, including crawling under houses and working with sewage/wastewater, while wearing proper PPE.
  • Use an infrared camera to document situations and provide detailed notes to business or insurance companies.
  • Investigate, problem-solve, and think outside the box to clearly identify the scope of work and provide quality estimates to homeowners.
  • Perform restoration and remediation work in residential and commercial properties.
  • Conduct carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning as needed.
  • Use hand tools to clean, build, and restore damaged areas.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials, such as asbestos abatement.
Requirements
  • IICRC Water Damage Restoration certification or 2-3 years of experience in the field.
  • Hand tools, including a hammer, pry bar, and electric hand tools.
  • Strong basic math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AHERA Building Inspector certification for asbestos testing.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with on-call and overtime hours. The work location will be on the road, with home bases in Cottage Grove and Springfield. The employer will remain confidential.

Compensation

The hourly rate is $25.00, depending on experience. On-the-job training, paid training, opportunities for advancement, and a referral program are also available.
