POSITION SUMMARY:

Comtech Systems, Inc (CSI) is seeking candidates for Satellite Communication Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Support roles. The selected individuals will be responsible for the routine maintenance and operational oversight of designated satellite terminals. Candidates must demonstrate a collaborative spirit and possess a strong work ethic, along with the critical thinking skills necessary to thrive in challenging environments.

  • Preference will be given to candidates holding a valid US passport.
  • An active, current Secret Clearance is mandatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

All candidates will be expected to perform the following duties:

  • Demonstrate expertise in tactical and commercial satellite communication systems.
  • Operate Satellite Modems, Redundancy Switches, and associated cabling; manage Up Converters, Down Converters, High Power Amplifiers (HPAs), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), and related components.
  • Provide technical documentation for SAR, GAR, TSR, and ASI requests.
  • Utilize Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) such as power meters and spectrum analyzers.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

All candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with diverse audiences and foster teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in installation, repair, troubleshooting, or maintenance of satellite communication systems.
  • Experience in tactical satellite environments, including operations and maintenance of antenna controllers and satellite modems.
  • Proficiency with both commercial and military satellite systems is essential.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree in Electronics or a related field, or a certification plus seven (7) years of specialized experience, or ten (10) years of recent specialized experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience in maintaining relevant certifications is preferred.
