Mortenson is a leader in the construction industry, and we're seeking an experienced Field Engineer to join our Wind Group. As a Field Engineer, you'll play a critical role in supporting and completing field coordination issues with team members, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Your strong communication and problem-solving skills will be essential in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Pre-Construction support
• Manage the submittal and RFI processes for specific definable features of work (DFW)
• Evaluate project design and engineering documents
• Conduct advance research on living arrangements for project team members
• Prepare turnover binder templates
• Assist with the preparation of Pre-Mobilization Kickoff meetings
• Compile, contact, and arrange for short form subcontracts with local entities at the project site
• Assist in drafting subcontracts and purchase agreements
• Review and utilize the Best Practice Database for SWIs, quality documents, prep meetings, etc.

Qualifications:

• Previous related internship experience a plus
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effective y manage multiple tasks
• Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
• Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proven positive and professional attitude and customer service skills
• Current driver's license
