Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician Generalist is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the physical condition and aesthetics of residential properties and other Mayroad assets, including but not limited to pools, community centers, and playgrounds. Core duties may involve structural repairs, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Minimum of 3 years in residential, multi-family property maintenance, covering carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, and HVAC.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient with maintenance tools, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
- Basic computer skills for training and timekeeping.
- Ability to communicate effectively and read documents in English.
- Strong attention to detail and a customer service-oriented mindset.
Work Environment:
This role involves performing repairs in residential settings, requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and exposure to various environmental conditions.
Physical Requirements:
Heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds is expected, along with frequent walking, climbing, and other physical activities.
Travel:
Minimal travel is required, less than 5 percent.
