We are seeking a highly skilled Developmental Technician to join our HVAC/R Facilities Maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our technicians, ensuring the smooth operation of our HVAC/R systems, and contributing to the development of our maintenance and repair processes.
Key Responsibilities- Provides technical support and assistance to technicians, including gathering capital expenditures lists, developing scopes of work, and identifying issues related to regular HVAC/R service.
- Completes HVAC/R work assignments and priorities, using policies, data, and resources, and collaborating with management, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
- Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations and guidelines, performing work according to applicable regulations, guidelines, and practices and procedures outlined in the Walmart HVAC/R safety policy.
- Assists in controlling company costs by conducting price comparisons of refrigerants, parts, and travel-related costs, and submitting warranty claims.
- Performs major and minor preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R equipment, and emergency management systems, and direct digital control equipment, replacing electrical motors or contactors, changing and adjusting belts, and installing compressors.
- Assists with the service and operation of company property, inspecting equipment, troubleshooting and diagnosing HVAC/R problems, performing minor repairs, and scheduling major repairs and maintenance.
- Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
- HVAC/R Certificate of Completion through Live Better U and Penn Foster Career School.
- Mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
We offer a competitive hourly wage range of $16.00-$28.00, with additional compensation in the form of premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401(k), stock purchase, and company-paid life insurance, as well as paid time off, parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting leave.
