Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of cutting-edge industrial and manufacturing facilities for top-tier companies. As a key member of our team, you will provide engineering and 3D Revit support for multiple projects, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, and fire protection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering and 3D Revit support for multiple projects
  • Perform HVAC load calculations, ductwork static pressure calculations, and pump head calculations
  • Conduct detailed phases of engineering work on major projects or total engineering work on smaller or moderate-scope projects
  • Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of standard accepted methods
  • Devise new approaches and solutions to problems encountered and communicate changes to the team
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of less experienced engineers and designers and be responsible for checking a portion or all of the drawings completed on the project within the discipline
  • Participate in client contact and business development activities
  • Meet with clients to define project scope, present project progress, and ensure client satisfaction
  • Write portions or all of the specifications and assist in or prepare total cost estimates
  • Perform design work with REVIT
  • Develop engineering concepts and presentations
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines
  • Stay current on new design methods and ideas
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college program, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice, is required
  • PE or PE-tracked preferred, plus two or more years of experience with SSOE as an Engineer 3 or the same educational, certification, and registration requirements as above with five or more years of related practical experience with former employer(s) required
  • Experience with, and the ability to size HVAC equipment, duct, and ancillary equipment, hydronic, and utility piping systems and plumbing systems
  • Knowledge and experience using AutoCAD, REVIT, and MicroStation preferred, as well as Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience working on Automotive, Manufacturing, and Commercial projects is a plus
  • Good communication skills
