Job Title: Controls Technician

At Hoffman & Hoffman, we are seeking a highly skilled Controls Technician to join our Engineering team. As a Controls Technician, you will be responsible for designing and programming DDC Systems, creating project design packages, and programming data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize design projects by accepting new projects, collecting project documentation, and collaborating with Sales and Manager.
  • Prepare design packages by completing wiring diagrams, sequence of operation, bill of materials, and valve schedules.
  • Coordinate turnover of design packages to Project Management by preparing project manuals and transferring project data.
  • Organize programming projects by accepting projects, analyzing workload timelines, and understanding project requirements.
  • Prepare programming projects by creating DDC programs, documenting programming, and testing DDC and displays.
  • Coordinate programming issues during construction by completing DDC/display changes and assisting technicians with commissioning.
  • Ensure proper system operability by assisting with onsite performance verification and verifying system functionality.
  • Complete design and programming packages by accepting project close-out packages and completing As-built documentation.
  • Maintain industry technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and maintaining knowledge on electrical and mechanical installation methods.
  • Willingsness and ability to travel to high-profile customers with locations in multiple regions.
