Job Summary

The Financial Aid Advisor I, Campus Support and Call Center provides critical support to students and parents regarding financial aid functions, timelines, and eligibility. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve student inquiries in a timely and professional manner, documenting all necessary information according to office standards.
  • Collect, analyze, evaluate, and verify financial aid data and documents submitted by students.
  • Certify student enrollment, ensuring adherence to academic progress policies and eligibility requirements, and initiate appropriate adjustments to individual student financial aid.
  • Stay up-to-date on current State and Federal regulations and determine their application to specific student circumstances.
  • Prepare and reconcile various reports, business correspondence, records, and other related documents.
  • Participate in preparing for and facilitating financial aid workshops and presentations.
  • Counsel students and others regarding eligibility requirements of financial aid.
  • Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be in good standing with the Department of Education.
  • Must successfully complete Federal Student Aid Fundamentals Training Series course upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a call center.
  • Experience working financial aid for a higher education institution.
