Role Overview
INVISTA is seeking an exceptional Senior Fixed Equipment Engineer – Operations Excellence to join their team. As a key contributor, this individual will drive Safety, Environmental, and Operational excellence from a corporate level, focusing on mentoring and enhancing plant site capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Site Engineers and Technicians, promoting skill development and expertise in fixed equipment maintenance and repair.
- Conduct hands-on training sessions and workshops at plant sites, enhancing site capabilities and knowledge base.
- Partner with site resources to bring subject matter expert level capability to scope plan and execute work in urgent situations.
- Lead by example in the application of critical thinking, engineering calculations, and data analysis for fixed equipment to drive stable and reliable operation.
- Develop and implement strategic improvements to plant engineering programs, aligned with business goals.
- Offer expert-level advice, guidance, and challenge for complex engineering, maintenance, or repair challenges, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Collaborate with industry, peers, and business leaders to ensure fixed equipment inspection strategies and standards are transformed by leveraging emerging technology while maintaining the risk philosophy.
- Strong willingness to travel, engage, and align with multiple plant teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in a Fixed Equipment Engineering role in a petrochemical plant with transformation and/or leadership experience.
- Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time as business needs indicate.
- Experience mentoring and skills development of other engineers.
