Job Summary

The Bar Back is a key member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional support to our bartenders during events. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Stocking and Inventory Management: Restock products for the bar, including beverages, alcoholic beverages, and supplies, to ensure bartenders have everything they need to provide excellent service.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment is operable and clean prior to the start of each event.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by mopping floors, cleaning and stacking floor mats, emptying and relining trash cans, and keeping closet areas clear of debris and clutter.
  • Guest Service: Recognize guests who are visibly intoxicated and take action to inform bartenders, ensuring a safe and responsible service.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Attendance and Availability: Demonstrate excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled.
Requirements
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests.
  • Certifications and Permits: Possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit, if required by state and federal regulations.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate basic math functions, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages, as they relate to product inventory.
  • Language Skills: Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Experience: Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume bar capacity is preferred.
