We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology and Interventional Technologist to join our team at Heart Hospital of Austin. As a key member of our Imaging department, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform radiological and interventional procedures in a timely manner, documenting required information and communicating with primary physicians and direct care staff.
- Coordinate and assist patient care in collaboration with radiology technologists, physicians, nurses, and allied health staff.
- Evaluate patient condition to perform radiological and interventional exams, inform and explain procedures to patients, and ensure a safe and comforting environment.
- Consult with staff as necessary to meet patient needs, possess knowledge of patient growth and development across the lifespan, and perform Point of Care procedures according to established policy and procedure.
- Demonstrate proficiency with equipment in the Interventional Suite procedure room, including fluoro, pan table, Med Rad injector, monitors, and control panels.
- Provide statistical reports within established timeframes, use resources efficiently and cost-effectively, and participate in developing other staff and affiliating students.
- Associate Degree in Radiology from a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program or equivalent.
- Current Medical Radiologic Technologist certification with the Texas Medical Board (TMB) and one of the following current American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)/Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R), (VI) licenses.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
