Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Lansing Correctional Center. The LPN will be responsible for providing holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients with a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with medical and psychiatric staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct health assessments and develop plans of care for patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff.
  • Document patient care and treatment in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Kansas Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or ability to obtain one required.
  • Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Corrections experience not required.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.
