Job Summary

Adventist Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Monterey Park, California. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in administering radiopharmaceuticals and radiation to detect and treat diseases. Your expertise will be essential in performing screening procedures, coordinating patient flow, and maintaining procedure quality control.

Responsibilities
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and radiation to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
  • Prepare and measure radioactive isotopes for therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies.
  • Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, including blood volume, red cell survival, and fat absorption studies.
  • Document all pertinent information regarding radioactive materials and surveys.
  • Obtain patient information and disseminate preparation instructions to patient care areas.
  • Elevate questions, problems, and challenges to senior staff for direction or expertise.
Requirements
  • Diploma or certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
  • State Nuclear Medicine License required in CA and HI.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Venipuncture certification required in CA and HI.
